Broker Compensation

All insurance products available from Glengarry Mutual
Insurance Company are marketed and distributed by licensed insurance agents and brokers. These agents and brokers are compensated for the services they provide by means of a commission schedule which is defined in their contractual agreement with our mutual.

The commission rates are as follows:

Auto Policies: 10.5% to 12.5% of the premium
Property Policies: 18.0% to 20.0% of the premium
Contingent Commission: Contingent commission rates vary depending on the profitability of the agent or broker account. Contingent commission for 2009 equaled 1.63% of the gross premium written. (2.04% in 2008)
